Woman on a Train

After a bit of a snow storm Saturday, Sunday turned out to be a great day. 

Spent a couple of hours with Phil and Noelle taking pictures of Grace ( Phil's sister). 

Thanks Grace for enduring our many requests and local snow squalls.

Music Video Shoot

I have not done much video work to date but here is a cover of 

Chris August's song Battle 

that my son Caleb did with me on guitar.

We did record this at home first then headed out to find a location to shoot the video, it was quite cold and my fingers had a hard time moving so it was just as well the audio was recorded inside.

The full HD video was to large to upload so I had to lower the quality sorry

Storm, Ziggy, Sun and Snow

Just read Christine Duncan's post on photographing pets and the challenges that can bring. So I decided to share a few shots on this topic. A friend and great photographer Phil has a couple of dogs, Storm a black and Ziggy a yellow Lab.  I remember the first time we did this last summer Phil asked if  I wanted a challenge. At first  I figured he was talking about a couple of dogs that love to chase a ball and so we would be dealing with speed. The real challenge was which dog do you focus and get exposure on and how do you do that with out under or overexposing the other dog. So we decided to step it up a notch an go out on a bright sunny day after a snow fall. I admit that I have lots to learn and theses are not the best shots by any means but I wanted to share the results and hopefully we can all learn some new skills.

Fire and Ice

Checked out the Fire and Ice event at the Alton Mill this weekend with Phil. This is the 3rd year for the event that has displays of Ice Carving, Blacksmith as well as skating and curling on the pond. The Mill is host to several local artists of all forms that have studio space inside the Mill.

Winter at Belfountain CVC Area

Checked out the CVC area in Belfountain which is actually closed in winter 

but that means not a lot of people and some great winter photo opps

Hockley Valley and Island Lake

From clear blue skies to snow squalls and a bit if wind chill. 

Took a drive down Hockley Valley with Phil then stopped at Island Lake on the way back.
