Orangeville Blues and Jazz 10 Year Anniversary CD

The Orangeville Blues and Jazz festival has grown over the past 10 years to become a 

4 day event spread over 20 venues and drawing over 30,000 people. 

To celebrate the 10th anniversary they have issued a CD comprised of this years artists. 

Two of my pictures from last years festival were selected for the CD and booklet cover.

Solar Eclipse May 20th

This past Sunday was a Partial Solar Eclipse. Here in Ontario we are about a far east and you could be and still catch a glimpse of it. The moon was just starting to cover the bottom right area of the sun which was dropping really fast. A couple of minutes after the second shot the sun had set.

Super Moon, Stars and lights

 Saturday night May 5th was this years Super Moon.
The night that the moon is closest to us each year.

Turned out to be a clear night so Phil, Wayne, Kathy and I
got together and spent a few hours in the dark.
After we shot the moon we moved onto painting and playing with a flash. 

Special thanks to Ryan for running around in the dark
while we blinded him with flashlights and Flashes.

Reconnect 2012

After about eight months of planning,

 last weekend was the first Reconnect conference held at 

Calvary Pentecostal Church in Cambridge, Ontario. 

What started as a tweet about getting help for a church tech team 

ended up with over 400 people attending from all over Ontario. 

The conference took place Friday evening and all day Saturday with a mix of 

large group teaching and breakout sessions covering Audio, Video, Lighting and Leadership.

A huge thanks goes out to the planning team, session speakers and all those who attended.

After the main session we held a coffee house to allow people to network and 

get to know fellow Tech team members from other churches.
