Cheltenham Forks of the Credit

Spend a few hours last weekend with Wayne who had to get out and test his new camera.
Took a drive around the Cheltenham & Forks of the Credit area.

When I saw this I figured bullets are more of an issue than fires

Wayne with his nice new Sony A77.

The Epic Personal Challenge! Machines

A couple of weeks ago fellow blogger and Photographer
Christine Duncan along with David Pratt started a photo challenge.
Every couple of weeks a new topic or theme would be picked,
the hunt is then on to find a shot and share it.
They opened challenge up to anyone who wanted to take part.
I found this a great idea to get out and look for new or different things
and expand our abilities as well as share the shots we all get.
The theme for this challenge is Machinery, I was out today touring the back roads
through Hockley Valley just north east of Orangeville.
I came across a pile of trees that has been cut down as part of a forest management program
so I figured there would have to be some kind of equipment back in the bush.
Parked the car and headed in, I soon found this Skidder, a machine used in logging operations.
Be sure to check out David's and Christine's machine pics.
If you want to join the challenge just post here or on Facebook and lets see where this can go.

Last Day of Ice Fishing

Apparently there was still 11" of ice on Island Lake
but I think this was the last day for ice fishing
with the warm weather forecast this week.
